For all you Madea fans that having been waiting for her return to big screen, the wait is almost over. Her next film is set to hit theaters February 2009, but you won’t have to wait until then to get a taste of what Tyler Perry has in store.

Perry’s film, “The Family That Preys” which opens in theaters this Friday will show a sneak peek of the third Madea film, “Madea Goes to Jail”. Considering the track record of Perry’s previous Madea movies this is sure to be a success.



“Madea’s Family Reunion,” debuted at No. 1 in February 2006, following the No. 1 debut of “Diary of Mad Black Woman” in February 2005. The two were made for a combined $11 million and grossed $150 million total.

In case you didn’t already know, in addition to both writing and directing the movies, Perry plays the charater of Madea.
