Pandora.com is the latest phenom in personalizing your online music experience. Founded by a former musician, Tim Westergren, the website allows individuals to easily type in the artist name or record name and instantly be able to pull up music related to the same style of the artist. But the “genome project” goes a little further. Pandora will figure out the melodies, vocal style, tone, beats per minute, etc in order to scientifically determine what type of music you like to hear. Talk about new age!
