Actor Idris Elba is heading to the hit NBC sitcom, ‘The Office’, to star in six episodes later this season. Elba is said to be playing the role of a no-nonsense hire who will become the rival of the regional manager of ‘The Office’, Michael Scott (Steve Carell).

This is not a first stint on the small screen for Elba who got his big break from landing a role on the award-winning drama series, ‘The Wire’. He will next be seen on the big screen in the upcoming film ‘Obsessed’ in which he will star alongside Beyonce Knowles.

It’ll be interesting to see how Elba fits in with the staff!
