Today, an auction was held in Atlanta for the sale of former Falcon’s player, Michael Vick. Vick’s eight bedroom home was being auctioned off as part of his bankruptcy case. The home is being sold for $3.2 million.

According to the AJC, only two people were in attendance. Bidders were required to bring a $160,000 cashiers check for immediate down payment on the home. The turnout was expected to be bigger. The current state of the economy could have been the cause for the lack of participants.

The following statement was issued by Funari agent Lance Hempen on Tuesday following the failed sale: “We are currently in ongoing negotiations. Because negotiations are still ongoing, we cannot discuss details concerning the sale of the property.”

Guess we’ll have to wait and see if Vick’s home sells.
