Lupe, Timberlake to climb for charity admin Tuesday, April 14, 2009 The Studio Chicago-based rapper, Lupe Fiasco, singer Justin Timberlake, and Ethopian-singer, Kenna, will climb Mount Kilimanjaro to raise awareness of the global water crisis. “My dad almost died as a child from waterborne diseases in Ethiopia, and he had talked to me about digging a well there, and I thought, ‘I have too many friends who would be concerned with the subject of clean water. Maybe I can help out,” Kenna told Elle magazine. The mountain, located in Tanzania, Africa, is 20,000 feet high. Also known as the “roof” of Africa, the mountain is the highest peak on the continent. “I’m an adventure junkie,” explained Lupe Fiasco. “Partof the motivation is beating Kenna to the top. Sabotaging his tent, taking the lining out of his coat, lacing it with ants or something like that.” The charity event is scheduled to take place in the fall. (Photo Source)(Photo Source2)
