Hall of Fame NBA coach Chuck Daly passed away this weekend at the age of 78.

Some of Daly’s biggest career accomplishments included winning back to back championships with the Detroit “Bad Boys” Pistons, leading the 1992 star-studded Olympic Dream Team to a gold medal, and being voted on of the 10 greatest coached of the NBA’s first half-century.
In a statement released by the league, NBA commissioner David Stern said of Daly, “…the void left by his death will never be filled. Chuck did much more than coach basketball games. He positively impacted everyone he met, both personally and professionally, and his love of people and the game of basketball helped develop the next generation of coaches.”
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Daly’s family and friends!
