Michael Jordan Ain't Dat Dude admin Wednesday, March 24, 2010 The Game While many will argue to no end that Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time, somebody else has a different take. by J. Darien Stokes Why do these minions who call themselves objective pundits on sports television and radio consider Jordan to be the greatest ever without question? When comparing him to other greats like Majic, Bird, Oscar, Kareem, Wilt, and Russell as available on MichaelJordan’sWorld.com, he’s played more seasons than all and based just on his stats and career achievements he’s not better but equal or beneath at least one if not multiple in almost every category. There’s good argument that he’s not the best 2 guard ever. Kobe is a better on- ball defender, but Jordan is a better team defender and bringing out best in others. Their style of game is almost identical; Kobe must have patterned his game to Jordan highlights as a child. Kobe shoots better from both the 3pt line and free throw line. Jordan does have a slightly higher field goal percentage and they both have the clutch gene. Reggie Miller and Jeff Hornacek also were better shooters. Iverson is a better scorer. I also take a little credit from him because David Stern corrupted the referees with the Jordan rules. I’m not saying he’s not great; simply not definitively the greatest of all time. He does however transcend the game and time like no other. And while I’m at it they should stop adulating Lebron James and Peyton Manning, neither have proven enough. Well there you have it! Any arguments??? (Pic)
