Buying Diamonds This Christmas? First Know This… Ms. Bels Monday, December 20, 2010 Credits & Debits, The Receipt 1 Comment Are you planning to drop a couple stacks on a nice diamond piece this Christmas? If so, be aware of the fake gems that are being sold in stores and online. Here are a few tips to follow while searching for the perfect diamond gift: No. 1 – Pay close attention to the 4 C’s: Color, Cut, Clarity, and Carat weight. No. 2 – Before buying diamonds online, go to the store and actually see the diamonds in person with your own eyes. No. 3 – Diamond certificates are given as proof that you have an authentic gem. But certificates too can be frauds (especially the ones given with online purchases). You really don’t need one. But in case you do, we suggest you go to a jewelry store to buy that diamond. No. 4 – Take your time shopping for the diamonds. Do your research. Go to several jewelers and compare diamond clarity and the price. Once you’ve narrowed down your search, make sure its within your budget. Do not go broke buying diamonds that are high-priced and fake. That’s not a good look. For more information on how to find the perfect diamond, use the internet. It is a great resource that will prevent you from purchasing a bad product. One Response
