The son of late civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. , is in talks to expand his financial wealth by purchasing a 50% stake in the New York Mets baseball team. As strange as this news may sound, the NY Post reports that MLK Jr III is hoping to team up with several other investors. MLK Jr III is scheduled to fly to NY this week to meet and discuss the 25% stake that is currently on the table.
