Joining the hems, seams and stitches of celebrity clothing lines is none other than the Queen herself. By way of the Home Shopping Network (HSN), the multi-talented Queen Latifah will release her line, Queen, which will include an array of products in a wide range of sizes.

The line’s apparel will include items such as jeans, leggings, handbags and clip-on hair extensions will be priced under $100 with leather outerwear and bags ranging from $170-$300. Also, per the Queen’s wishes, the term “plus-size” will not be used to label larger sizes. As to why, she tells Women’s Wear Daily…

“It is a word we need to bury at this point. I wanted to make something size two and up. The truth is, we all would like to wear the same clothes. We all want to wear beautiful, fly clothes no matter what size you are, and so for me it was important to match with a company that understood and respected that ideal. I felt like larger girls were not respected, even though we are huge consumers. I felt the marketplace didn’t respect us in the way it should. I was not going to step out with a clothing line that didn’t respect a fuller-figured woman or a curvaceous woman, and really all women.”

Queen will debut on HSN August 27, 2011.
