As the days go by, the NBA is getting closer and closer to crowning its champion for the 2010-2011 men’s basketball season. The other day, we updated you with the standings midway through the Conference Finals. Well now that they’re over, here are the teams that will go head to head in the Finals. 

Miami Heat vs. Dallas Mavericks

In an odd sort of fashion, both the Miami Heat and the Dallas Mavericks are making their first appearance in the NBA Finals since 2006 in which the Heat took home the crown. This time after beating out the Oklahoma City Thunder in a 4-1 series, the Mavericks claimed the Western Conference Championship will go for the gusto once again in earning the ultimate title. The Heat, this year’s Eastern Conference champions, earned their spot in the battle by eliminating the Chicago Bulls in a 4-1 series. The Finals series will kick-off Tuesday, May 31 in Miami at 9pm (ET) on ABC.
