What originally started as a controversial blog post eventually led to a book deal and now has rocketed into a TV series. TV writer and author Tracy McMillan has landed a deal with ABC for her comedy Why You’re Not Married. The idea for the show came about after McMillan’s blog post of the same name went viral and acquired 2.9 million views on The Huffington Post. The show will explore the current state of modern American love primarily with the focus on “the dynamic between the millions of attractive chicks between the ages of 25 and 45 who want to be married… and the men who seemingly refuse to commit to them.”  The project was developed by DreamWorks TV and the actual script for the show will be written by McMillan. The related book titled Why You’re Not Married…Yet: How To Stop Acting Like a Bitch And Start Getting Hitched will be released May 2012. You can read the blog post that started it all  here!
