LL Cool J and his wife Simone Smith recently hosted a charity event in an effort to raise money to support the ongoing war against cancer. The event, “Why Fashion Matters” brought in over $100k which will be used to help fund cancer research and the efforts of the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Smith who happens to be a cancer survivor herself says about the event, “I knew I wanted to do something to help. Cancer affects too many people and so many families.”  The Mrs. also auctioned off items from her recently launched jewelry line SIS raising more than an additional $100K.
