Serena Williams Debuts Nike’s Black History Month 2012 Collection janda Friday, January 20, 2012 The Game, The Runway Tennis great Serena Williams is already geared up and in the mode of honoring Black History Month. With custom-made Nike gear in the form of sneakers and a headband, Williams was first in debuting Nike’s Black History Month 2012 Collection during her first-round victory at the Australian Open. The two items were part of a set made specifically for the Grand Slam champion that also includes a jacket and bag. Williams’s collection is just the first of more to come. Other athletes will feature their specially made collections during Black History Month in February. Nike designed the collection in honor of the 36th anniversary of Black History Month. All items will be adorned with a BHM mark.
