BET’s sister channel, Centric TV, will air a special one-hour documentary following the life of the late rapper, Heavy D. The documentary, Be Inspired: the Life of Heavy D will features interviews with some of his friends and colleagues such as Will Smith, Mary J. Blige, Johnny Gill, Al B. Sure, Kim Fields and Queen Latifah. Footage from Heavy D’s last performance during last year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards and his funeral services will also be included. The name of the documentary derived from Heavy D’s last tweet before his untimely death which simply said “Be Inspired”.

Be Inspired: The Life of Heavy D airs February 26 at 11pm EST.
