NBA All-Star 2012 Slam Dunk Contest + A Few Changes in the Rules janda Monday, February 20, 2012 The Game The NBA has released its line-up for this year’s All-Star slam dunk contest and a few changes as to how the winner will be selected. In previous years, the contest consisted of two rounds of dunks with a panel of judges voting on the first round and the fans on the second. Well this year there will be only one round with each contestant executing three dunks and who wins will be left totally up to the fans. So if you’re a fan, be sure to tune in get your vote in via NBA.com, Twitter or through text messaging. Here’s the line-up (unfortunately defending champ Blake Griffin will not be returning)…. Iman Shumpert (New York Knicks) Paul George (Indiana Pacers) Derrick Williams (Minnesota Timberwolves) Chase Budinger (Houston Rockets) The slam dunk contest will take place on February 25th during the league’s ‘All-Star Saturday Night’ which begins at 8:00pm EST.
