Ann Curry, a popular host of NBC’s Today show, will get ousted from her job with a hefty payout. The NY Post is reporting that Curry originally signed a $20 million contract for the gig as a journalist. Since word got out that she would be replaced, Curry’s remaining contract stipulations guarantees her a payout of $10 million. But, this isn’t the first time the network has paid an employee a lucrative check just to leave. It paid late-night host Conan O’Brien a reported $45 million when it fired him from “The Tonight Show” in 2010. But that settlement included payment for his production company, with nearly 100 employees. The Curry settlement would be paid solely to her to leave the show, the gossip Web site TMZ reported.
