Pro Skater Stevie Williams and Lil Wayne Set ‘DGK’ and ‘TRUKFIT’ In Motion janda Tuesday, June 5, 2012 The Runway Pretty soon it looks like there are going to be more celebrity designers than there are just strictly fashion designers. Next up in the ever so popular world of starting your own clothing line is professional skater Stevie Williams and rapper Lil Wayne. This past weekend the fellas launched their respective brands during a special event at the Beverly Center’s Macy’s. Stevie’s line is called DGK which is the acronym for “Dirty Ghetto Kids”, the name of his old skate crew. His motto concerning his brand is; “From those who come from nothing”. The line will feature tees, hats, fleeces, and a streetwear collection. Weezy’s brand will be called TRUKFIT and will feature a tees and hats for both men and boys. About the venture, Stevie said, “It’s exciting to share this moment with my homie Lil Wayne and show the world skate fashion is cool. What Wayne and I are doing is bringing skate culture inside of corporate entities where a lot of our fans shop and we’re proud to do this with Macy’s.” The event also included a meet-and-greet and autograph session for fans. The first 10 fans to purchase $150 worth of DGK and/or TRUKFIT gear during the event received a skateboard and admission to an exclusive VIP reception.
