Golden Brooks who is best known as Maya Wilkes from the former hit show Girlfriends has snagged herself a recurring role on the CW’s Hart of Dixie.

 

Hart of Dixie revolves around Dr. Zoe Hart (Rachel Bilson) who accepts an offer at a small town practice after her dreams of becoming a big-time surgeon fall apart.

 

Making her debut during the show’s upcoming season, Brooks will play the role of Ruby Jeffries, a successful woman who returns to BlueBell and quickly becomes friends with Zoe. The gist of her role revolves around the unresolved issues Ruby will have to face upon her return.

 

Season 2 of Hart of Dixie premieres Tuesday, October 2nd at 8pm [EST].
