It’s been pretty obvious for quite some time that despite being the sister of one of today’s biggest stars, Solange Knowles travels in her lane and has her own things going on. Now while we’re sure she’ll continue to add to her list of things to do, she’s made it clear that she’s removing one.

 

After a little over a year of representing their Transitioning Movement campaign, Solange has decided to severe her ties with Carol’s Daughter natural hair and beauty brand.  On why she made the decision to end her relationship with the company, Solange said, “I was constantly fighting for the right message to be heard. The message that the way we wear our hair is a personal choice, there’s no right or wrong way; one way doesn’t make us more intelligent, or more superficial, and everyone makes that choice for very different reasons.”

  

Once again as she so often does, Ms. Solange goes against the grain and stays true to herself and I couldn’t agree with her more. Natural or not, everybody has the right to choose for themselves.
