Ever since he hit the scene, comedian Mike Epps has been on a constant grind to pave his way in the entertainment industry and seems to be moving it right along. While being mostly known for his role in the last two Friday films, Epps will switch gears a bit and take on the role of legendary comedian Richard Pryor in the upcoming Nina Simone biopic entitled “Nina”.

 

“Nina” follows Simone’s rise to stardom as well as her relationship with her manager. Epps’ Richard Pryor role will entail him and Simone’s friendship during the early part of their careers. Zoe Saldan will star as Nina.

 

This seems to be a good fit for Epps who also recently finished filming for his roles in the upcoming comedy film Hangover Part III and the thriller film Vipaka.
