Young Jeezy’s CTE World Moves To Atlantic Records; Speaks On Freddie Gibbs Departure Ms. Bels Wednesday, December 12, 2012 The Studio Tomorrow at 12 noon, Young Jeezy will drop his new mixtape “El Hefe: It’s Tha World “Es El Mundo”. But in the midst of the hype surrounding the mixtape, Jeezy has been making announcements and fielding questions regarding CTE World’s move to Atlantic Records and the departure of rapper Freddie Gibbs. Today, Jeezy released a statement regarding both items. “Freddie is a talented artist and I decided that it’s time to press reset on my career and business ventures. I have no doubt that Freddie will go on to be everything I believe he can be, and I wish him the best in his career.” As for the label, CTE World, Young Jeezy stated… “This is a fresh start for the CTE brand as we re-launch it. This is why I chose to wipe the slate clean and create an outlet to support and nurture new artists to the best of my ability.” Young Jeezy was appointed the Sr VP of A&R at Atlantic Records earlier this year. It will be interesting to see to what level he will take the label and the artists. Only time will tell…
