Comedian Kim Whitley To Star In New Reality Show “Raising Whitley” Ms. Bels Wednesday, March 13, 2013 Tune In 1 Comment Actress/Comedian Kim Whitley will soon reveal her life via reality tv. Set to air on the OWN network, Whitley will star in her very own reality show, “Raising Whitley.” You may remember her from Next Friday, My Wife and Kids, The Nutty Professor II, Along Came Polly, and a host of other television and film projects. But outside of the acting gigs, the world never really got to know “who is Kim Whitley?” So, finally we all get the chance to. According to a recent press release, “Raising Whitley” will be based on… On her new show, “Raising Whitley,” cameras follow Kym as she embarks on the audition of a lifetime, being a mother. When Kym signed up to mentor a troubled young girl, she never imagined she’d get a call from the hospital saying, “Your baby is ready.” After learning that her mentee exited the maternity ward leaving only Kym’s contact information, Kym experienced a cataclysmic moment. With less than an hour to make a life-changing decision – and to do a lifetime of soul-searching – Kym chose to become a mother. This humorous and poignant docu-series follows Kym and her chaotic collective of friends – whom she calls “The Village” – as they attempt to do something none of them have ever done before: raise a baby…together. The Village banded together to help Kym bring up baby Joshua the best they know how, but sometimes it’s hard to tell who is more mature – baby Joshua or the adults tasked with raising him. Over the season, Kym learns the chaotic realities of becoming a full-time mom: She realizes that, while Craigs List may be perfect for finding an old couch, it’s not ideal for finding a new nanny; she survives Joshua’s first haircut; she gets her groove back on a manhunt with her girlfriends; and she discovers that being “just friends” with Joshua’s “daddy” may not be that simple. Rodney is ‘one sexy, handsome man’ and a much healthier influence on your adorable little shaver, Joshua. Keep up the good work!! Thanks for all your time to entertain me!!
