Uncle Sam is not playing around with these celebrities. Lauryn Hill, Swiss Beatz, Mary J Blige, and others have all felt the sting of the IRS lately. Now, fellow New York rapper Joseph “Fat Joe” Cartagena is feeling it as well. It was report yesterday that Fat Joe will have to serve a 4 month sentence for failing to pay $1 million in taxes. The sentence was originally for 2 years. But, the judge reduced his time in exchange for 4 months, a $15,000 fine, and a years worth of probation. Fat Joe was prosecuted in New Jersey although he lives in Miami, Florida. From 2007 to 2010, the rapper earned $3.3 million, but failed to pay a $700,000 tax bill.
