New Mixtape: Young Dro – Day Two Ms. Bels Tuesday, June 18, 2013 The Studio Atlanta’s own Young Dro is making a major comeback to the rap game. Dro has remained relevant doing shows and dropping random mixtapes over the years. But, it is clear that with this latest project he’s on a mission to regain the throne he once held. At one point, Dro was Grand Hustle’s premiere artist outside of founder T.I.. His debut album Best Thang Smokin’ dropped in 2006 and went on to land #1 on the charts and sell 2 million copies of it’s most notable track “Shoulder Lean.” So it is evident that the guy can sell some records. With an eye for bright colors and business suits, Dro uses his fondness of flair to compliment his infectious flow. This combination is lethal because not only can he really flow, he also looks rather dapper doing it. The new Day Two project signifies his return and growth. The cover which adorns two bow ties represent his growth in life, business, skills, and spiritually. It also represent the second volume to his first mixtape Day One, in which he released in April 2006 with DJ Drama as the host. So it is great to see the two Grand Hustle affiliates return for another big project. Day Two is a dope mixtape. Features from T.I., Mac Boney, B.o.B., Natasha Mosley, Doe B, Trae the Truth, Trinidad James, Mike Fresh, Spodee, and Shad Da God provides that extra flavor to the project. The production choices are much better and have helped Dro carve out his sound and direction of future music. Take a listen to the live stream… Download Mixtape | Free Mixtapes Powered by DatPiff.com
