NeNe Leakes Spends $1.8 Million On 2nd Wedding; Keeps It Real w/Soul Food at Reception Ms. Bels Friday, June 28, 2013 The Script, Tune In One thing about weddings…it’s all about the bride. Whatever the bride wants, she gets. In the case of Mrs. NeNe Leakes, her second time walking down the aisle was done completely her way. Heck, even the $1.8 million dollars spent on the wedding, made damn sure it went her way. Life & Style reports that the Real Housewives of Atlanta star remarried her long-time beau in a lavish ceremony at the InterContinental Hotel-Buckhead in Atlanta. The June 22 fairytale wedding was one NeNe’s always wanted and that the whole experience kept old glam Hollywood alive. “I came up with the idea of having an Old Hollywood theme because I thought it would be completely fabulous and everyone would be able to have fun with it,” said NeNe. The beautiful bride was draped in a $50,000 Baracci gown and switched up at the reception into a $20,000 gown designed by Pnina Tornai. The bridesmaids, which included Cynthia Bailey, Marlo Hampton, Jennifer Williams, and other close friends/family, wore white dresses as well. Their gowns were designed by Gabrielle Arango. Mrs. “I’m Rich B–ch” went to the bank for this wedding which welcomed 400 guests. Besides the 10-tier wedding cake, guests were treated to a surprise when it came to the reception food. NeNe stayed true to her southern roots and served guests fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, shrimp and grits, and biscuits. OK! This may not be the most conventional wedding reception dinner, but it sounds like it was the best tasting. Nothings worse than attending a wedding and the food is blah tasting chicken breast and rice pilaf. Congratulations to NeNe and Gregg! We can’t wait to see it all unfold on her own special “I Dream of NeNe” on Bravo TV. No air date specified at this time. But, it is reported to hitting the tube in the fall.
