Unfortunately, most people enter into a two-year contract in order to get the new phone for a discounted price. Now, this is all about to change. AT&T announced that they will offer a new plan in which customers can upgrade their phones once a year. The new plan will be called “Next” will offer month-to-month contracts and a waiver on the downpayment. The only downfall is that the “Next” plan will require customers to pay full price for the new phone. T-Mobile launched their plan called “Jump” in Q1 of 2013. Verizon is also reported to be in the development stages for a similar plan of their won.
