As a native of the Westside of Atlanta and graduate of Benjamin E. Mays High School, I’ve always appreciated what the Dungeon Family contributed to the music game. Not because they were from some of the same neighborhoods and schools, but solely because they made sure their music was soulful and contained substance.  Cats like the Goodie Mob could relate to my struggle (and vice versus), my environment, my way of life, and my love for individuality.  This is why they proved to many that being different and still having the ability to sell records is possible.

Now, after 14 long years, Goodie Mob is back. The four-member group consisting of Khujo, Big Gipp, T-Mo, and Ceelo have settled their differences to unite and record a new album, Age Against The Machine.  The group has been on the promo trail heavily to get the word out that a new project is on its way. A lot of people speculated that their hiatus was due to Ceelo’s highly successful solo artist career. But while out speaking to several media outlets, the guys have put an end to any rumors or preconceived notions about why they were gone away so long. From internal disputes to label changes, Goodie Mob have had an array of challenges over the years. However, it is their love of the music that prevailed and thousands of fans now no longer have to wait.

Goodie Mob sat down with The Breakfast Club and kept it 100 on what all has been going on and what we can expect on the new album. Check out their 2-part interview below:
