U.K. Doctor Believes Having More Sex Can Lead To Salary Increases Ms. Bels Friday, August 16, 2013 The Receipt, Your Money and You An article recently posted here revealed some surprising news when it comes to sex and higher salaries. According to Dr. Nick Drydakis, a lecturer at Lord Ashcroft International Business School in the U.K., a large number of individuals who tend to engage in sex more frequently have good health which in turn promotes improved mental and physical abilities. With these abilities improved, a person is capable of doing better on their jobs. Good job performances can then turn into promotions and salary increases. “The vast medical and psychological literature concludes that sexual activity is associated with good health and improved physical and mental capacities, psychological well-being and dietary habits,” Drydakis says. “In addition, several studies suggest that mental health, personal happiness, satisfaction, self-esteem, conscientiousness, cognitive functioning and reasoning ability are positively related to the frequency of sexual activity.” Dr. Drydakis also adds, “Since good health, mental health and well-being are closely related to the economist’s notion of productive output, and these characteristic are correlated with sexual activity, we may expect/hypothesize that sexual activity is also a well-being indicator related to higher wages.” The esteemed Drydakis says that “for both sexes we observe that an increase from sex weekly to sexual activity more than four times a week increases wages by 3.2%.” And there’s more: Men having no sex receive lower wages by 1.0%. And married men having no sex receive lower wages by 1.3%. Hmmmm. Do you think Dr. Drydakis has a legitimate point? If so, we all may need to start laying up more often so we can secure a bigger payday! LOL
