Since having her first born Naylah Aubrey, actress Halle Berry has been on a crusade against tabloid-friendly cameramen.  Her gripe has been to keep paparazzi from having the right to snap pictures of Naylah and any other young child. Well, it looks like Halle’s fight for justice wasn’t done in vain.

Starting January 1, 2014, paparazzi working in the state of California will be charged if pictures are taken of children without parents consent. The law was signed into legislation this week by Gov. Jerry Brown. The law states that paparazzi can not photograph or videotape children of celebrities, politicians, judges, or other lawmakers without the authorization of the parent. If this law is broken, that photographer will face up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine (which may increase per infraction).

Halle Berry and actress Jennifer Garner both spoke out in support of the bill.
