According to news reports, two cases have been reported in Arizona of drug users who has suffered skin damage due to a new drug on the scene. The drug is called “Krokodil” has caused many deaths because of its deadly mixture of codeine, paint thinner, gasoline, iodine, red phosphorous, and hydrochloric acid. This drug was first discovered in Russia in 2002 and has plagued the country every since. It is believed that over 3 million people use or has used the drug worldwide. Krokodil is said to be stronger and deadlier than Heroin. Its damaging affects to the human skin is what makes this drug so dangerous. Coined as “the drug that eats junkies”, the two Arizona cases is the first of its kind here in the United States. Officials are very concerned that this drug will become widespread soon.
