WTH?! Expecting Moms Sell Paternity Test Results on Craigslist + New ‘Paternity Court’ Show Airs This Fall Ms. Bels Friday, September 6, 2013 Tune In Man, it’s hard out here for a pimp…better yet a baby mother. Something weird and scandalous crossed my eyes while scrolling Instagram last night. It was a photo of an article from ABC News that reported a new trend occurring on the popular Craigslist site. Apparently, there are some expecting mothers out here who are now selling their positive paternity tests to random women over the internet. Like the ad posted up above, people are selling their test results for a minimum of $25. This isn’t just happening in the Tri-state area, but all over. The whole purpose for another woman to purchase a test result is to trap a man/boyfriend. SMH. How scandalous is this?!! Women have been trapping men into marrying them or pay child support for years. But, this is the FIRST time I’ve ever heard of anybody going to this extent. Per the news report, Craiglist has been cracking down and deleting these ads as they pop up. I’m not sure what rules profilers are breaking by selling the tests. But apparently, this isn’t a good look on Craiglist’s behalf. So, they are trying to rectify it as soon as possible. To think that women will stoop this far to get a man or some cash is trifling. In other paternity news, Maury will soon have a bit of competition. On September 23, a new court room based show will premiere on local stations. “Paternity Court”, which stars lawyer Lauren Lake, will help parents make life-changing decisions based on the results from DNA tests. The half-hour show will be produced by MGM and 79th & York Entertainment, which are responsible for the Ricki Lake and Queen Latifah shows. Check your local listings for which station and time Paternity Court will be airing.
