Artist Mgr ‘Jimmy Henchman’ Rosemond Sentenced to Life + Guerilla Black Gets 9 Years for Credit Card Fraud Ms. Bels Wednesday, October 30, 2013 $1 Rumors, The Receipt, The Studio Talk about being on their worst behavior… Last week, an U.S. District Court Judge handed down a life sentence to veteran music manager James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond. Rosemond was found guilty last year for his top-tier involvement in a multi-million dollar drug trafficking ring. The judge believe a life sentence is justified considering the level and intricacies of Henchman’ s drug operation. “Not all kingpins deserve this, but you certainly do.” Describing Rosemond’s narcotics ring as “astounding in breadth, duration, and intensity,” Gleeson declared that, “You chose this life. And this is the punishment you get,” stated Judge John Gleeson. If you recall in our September 2011 write-up, Henchman’s operation involved a lot of movement from New York to L.A. and back. The operation took extensive planning, people and resources in order to pull it off for as long as it did. Authorities were surprised at how well thought out Henchman’s operation was. “According to a report published by the infamous The Smoking Gun website, a shipping company called Rock-It Cargo delivered and received several music cases allegedly containing drugs between 2010 and 2011. The cases were said to have been transported from Interscope’s Los Angeles office to a New York studio. TSG’s report goes on to say that the shipments were delivered to New York and Mr. Rosemonds’ associates would distribute and sale the drugs. The money made from the drugs were then shipped back to L.A. to the Interscope office.” [FULL ARTICLE: Interscope Offices Used As Transport Sport for Drug Trafficking Ring?] Jimmy Henchman will return to court soon to face another federal indictment for his involvement in a 2009 murder. Law enforcement believe Henchman put a contract hit out on Lovell Fletcher, an industry rival whom Henchman claims assaulted his young son. This trial is set to begin next month. Henchman was a notable individual in the music industry. He is most well-known for managing artists like Too Short, The Game, and Brandy. He also was involved in the business lives of Mike Tyson, Wyclef Jean, and Rev. Al Sharpton.
