The Colts improved their record to 5-2 and the Broncos are now 6-1. Manning passed for 386 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 1 interception in his return to Indianapolis.

Denver had the chance to win the game after their Kicker Matt Prater kicked a field goal with 17 seconds remaining, but the Broncos failed to recover the onside kick. Broncos Receiver Eric Decker led the team with 8 catches for 150 yards with 1 touchdown and Wes Walker had 7 catches for 96 yards. The Colts did out-rush the Broncos 121 to 64 yards and the Broncos had 3 turnovers compared to the Colts 1 turnover. The Colts managed to sack Manning 4 times and his former teammate Robert Mathis recording 2 sacks on Manning. The Colts look like they made the right decision by drafting Luck last year and allowing Manning to become a free agent – after missing the whole season two years ago due to neck injury.
