Cadillac DTS Limousine

When you are riding in a limousine, the last thing on your mind is invasion of privacy.  Well, it’s 2013 and things have changed. No longer will we only worry about guarding your personal information at work or at home. Now, online hackers can retrieve your information from anywhere…including a limo.

The Associated Press reports that an limousine software company was hacked and there’s potential exposure of sensitive data belonging to celebrities, athletes, executives, and some politicians.  The company affected was Corporatecaronline.  The company sells software to limousine companies that helps streamline reservations, pick ups/drop-offs, and payments. It boasts over 1 million customers. The potential for breached information to be leaked to the masses is overwhelming.

Dan Leonard, the owner of Corporatecaronline, was told of the breach over a month ago by Alex Holden, chief information security officer of Hold Security. Holden informed Leonard that credit card numbers and other personal info had been stolen.

No response made by Mr. Leonard as of yet.
