Celebs “Ball Out” In Support Of 2nd Annual ‘Hoop 4 A Cause’ [PHOTOS] admin Thursday, December 19, 2013 Game Xclusive, The Game, The Vault via press release: ATLANTA – December 17, 2013 – Hoop 4 a Cause, a non-profit celebrity basketball game and holiday toy drive benefiting children and families in need from impoverished Atlanta communities, hosted its second annual basketball fundraising event on Saturday, December 14, at Central Park Gymnasium located at 400 Merritts Ave. NE. This year’s Hoop 4 a Cause, hosted by Streetz 94.5’s DJ Lady B with music provided by DJ Showtime, featured a 3-point Competition and NBA Skills Challenge with the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Development staff and a halftime performance by Leadership Prep Academy Dance Team. Each child who attended Hoops 4 a Cause received a ticket voucher for an upcoming Atlanta Hawks home game. Event organizers, Jah Rawlings, with We Got This, Shena Locke, with Dynamic Events, and Nicole Kasak, with Kasak Media, joined forces to produce the event and raise money to buy holiday toys for children from Atlanta’s 4th ward and inner city communities. The event received significant support from local artists and entertainers, companies and schools; and with this support, Hoop 4 a Cause purchased more than 100 toys and sponsored three families of five. Event partners and supporters of Hoop 4 a Cause included: Red Bull, The Theo Ratliff Foundation, the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks, Publik Trust, Disturbing Tha Peace (DTP) and Streetz 94.5 FM. Celebrity players and guests included: music and recording artists, K Camp, Scotty ATL, Sy Ari Da Kid, Dae Dae Brick Squad, Jus Nice, DJ Benny Demus, Kap G and Sha Stimuli, retired NBA All-Star, Theo Ratliff, Lady B and DJ Showtime with Streetz 94.5, Reec with HOT 107.9, pro players Randy Orr and Corey Zachery, and more! Hoop 4 a Cause is an annual charity event benefiting children and families from Atlanta’s 4th ward and inner city communities. The annual event is a celebrity basketball game and toy drive. Hoop 4 a Cause relies on support and participation from local businesses and community leaders, as well as involvement from a variety of recording artists, entertainers and former professional athletes.
