Jamaican Powerhouse, Tessane Chin, Wins ‘The Voice’ admin Wednesday, December 18, 2013 The Script, Tune In Jamaican-born, Tessane Chin, took the crown last night as winner of this season’s “The Voice”. Chin’s powerful vocals made her the most likely candidate to win the singing competition. The win was a very emotional one. She stated that she almost gave up her career. But luckily she made the decision to audition for the show. “I was literally at the end of a road, you know, and coming to a place in my life where I was like, `Am I going to keep doing this and feeling like I’m not getting anywhere? Or am I going to give this another shot?’ And thank God, thank God, I was able to give it another shot,” she said. (AP) Chin was a member of Maroon 5’s Adam Levine’s team.
