With so many big butts walking around these days, it’s hard to tell which one’s are fake or not. But leave it up to one drug smuggler to figure out a way to use her butt to transport cocaine.

Michelle Blassingale, of Staten Island, NY, was sentenced to two years in jail after being found guilty of smuggling 2.5 kilos into the U.S.  Authorities claims Blassingale traveled from the Dominican Republic to Kennedy Airport with cocaine hidden in her girdle (or booty pads).  Once she hoped off her Jet Blue flight, Boarder patrol officers noticed that she walked with an “awkward gait”.  Blassingale also traveled with a companion, Priscilla Pena, who were also strapped with drugs.

The two were patted down by officers and questioned why their backsides were so hard. After conducting a strip search, officers found the kilos stuffed inside diaper-like girdles.

Blassingale has previous arrests, but this was her first stint as an international drug smuggler. She told a Brooklyn judge that she was jobless and behind on her bills. She was expected to make $9,000 for the trip.

Blassingales’s friend, Pena, is awaiting sentencing.  The cocaine found on Blassingale was worth about $85,000 on the street.
