‘X Factor’ Ratings Take A Dive; New Changes To Occur Next Season Ms. Bels Wednesday, December 18, 2013 The Script, Tune In In its third season, “X Factor” has seen a constant dive in viewership. Several factors could be the cause: the judges, the type of show, or Simon Cowell himself. Whatever the case, Cowell sees major changes to come for the fourth season. During a recent teleconference, Cowell acknowledged that some changes are needed if he expects “X Factor” to survive. For instance, he is in talks with the network about cutting back from a two-day show to just airing one day. Right now, Demi Lavato, Kelly Rowland, and Paulino Rubio are in the judges seats. But, we can expect a huge change up there next season. Cowell also expressed that he may give up his judges seat in order to take on another role on the show. Good luck with that! The singing contest shows are becoming outdated. There are too many of these shows (i.e. “American Idol”, “The Voice”) that are all competing against one another. Although the judging rules are much different, the fact that they are all “singing” related makes them actually similiar. What do you think? Should the singing contest shows be over and done with?
