Heisman Winner, Jameis Winston, Leads FSU to BCS Title Over Auburn Abner Jackson III Tuesday, January 7, 2014 Scoreboard, The Game The No. 1 Florida State Seminoles scored 21 unanswered fourth quarter points to come from behind to defeat the No. 2 Auburn Tigers (34-31) in the final edition of the BCS National Championship game. Heisman trophy winner Jameis Winston threw a 2-yard touchdown to Running Back Kelvin Benjamin with 13 seconds remaining to give the Seminoles the lead for good. Auburn led 21-10 at halftime. For FSU, 18-points is the largest deficit to come from behind to win a BCS National Championship. Winston threw for 237 yards, 2 touchdowns and Devonta Freeman led the Seminoles with 73 yards rushing and a rushing touchdown. Auburn Quarterback Nick Marshall threw for 217 yards, 2 touchdowns, 1 interception and had 45 yards rushing with a rushing touchdown. Tigers Running Back Tre Mason looked unstoppable and led the Tigers with 195 yards rushing, Mason had a rushing and receiving touchdown. Mason is a junior running back who has played like best running back in the nation and will have to make a decision to come back for senior season or enter the 2014 NFL Draft.
