History was made on Feb 9, 2014 as Full Blossom Magazine (FBM) produced the 1st exclusively Plus Size fashion show during New York Fashion Week. This event allowed women all over the world to see a fashion show, which glorified the body of the average woman. Full Blossom Magazine showcased new trends in plus size fashion from designers: Niq Nicole, Mad Couture’s Madilyn Wade, MH302 creator Marco Hall, and Juul Couture. Not only did this event show off beautiful curvy women, but the Face The Sweet Fashion Showcase also helped to promote the awareness and education of diabetes.
Founder and Executive Director of Divabetic® Max Szadek, along with Catherine Schuller of BEHIND IT Magazine and Model Maker Mentors hosted and educated the attendees about Divabectic. The motto for this non-profit organization is you get a nutritionist so you eat good, feel good and manage your diabetes. So why, not get a stylist, make-up artist or take care of your physical appearance so you look good too. “Don’t just be a Diabetic, be a Divabetic! A Diabetic with an attitude!”
Alongside the CEO of FBM, Mello Andrews, comedian/actor Michael Blackson was also in the building to show his support for cause.
