In a groundbreaking documentary, Maria Shriver and HBO brings us a real-life account of one woman’s life and endurance. On Monday night (March 10), in Hollywood, CA, Oprah Winfrey, Eva Longoria, Maria Shriver, and a host of others attended the premiere of the film. The event was held at the Linwood Dunn Theater at the Pickford Center for Motion Study. Eva Longoria “PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK: THE LIFE & TIMES OF KATRINA GILBERT” offers a deeply personal, unvarnished and moving story of Katrina Gilbert, a single mom of three, struggling to get ahead but constantly getting knocked back by a system that almost seems designed to see her fail. According to ShriverReport.org, there are 42 million women who faces the same financial struggles as Katrina Gilbert; there are also 28 million children who depend on that mother for constant care. Women find themselves “doing it all” by themselves, but barely make ends meet to financially support their family. Gilbert is not alone and Maria Shriver wants to hear your story.
