Does “Plea Deal” Mean RHOA’s Apolla Nida’s Snitching?? admin Friday, March 21, 2014 The Receipt, Tune In Word is out that the husband of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member Phaedra Parks, Apolla Nida, is trying to cop a plea deal for his recent set of fraud charges. As you may remember from our article posted in late January, Nida has been charged with bank fraud and identity theft and could face up to 20 years in prison. Well, Rodney Ho (AJC) updated the public regarding the current state of Nida’s case. In documents procured by Radaronline filed last week, “Counsel for Mr. Nida and counsel for the government have been engaged in discussions aimed at resolving this matter without a trial since February 10, 2014. They are still in the process of investigating additional facts and negotiating a resolution.” A pre-trial hearing had been originally scheduled last month. Both sides agreed to a continuance through April 25, 2014. The government has charged him but has yet to file an indictment. Nida, based on the testimony of a woman he worked with Gayla St. Julien and Nida’s computer the feds procured, created fake debt-collection businesses in order to “illicitly obtain personal identifying information of individuals.” St. Julien would take on these fake identities and deposit fraudulent auto loan checks, stolen U.S. Treasury checks, stolen retirement checks issued to Delta Airlines employees and checks in the name of real people owed unclaimed property, according to the original criminal complaint. The complaint provided a sampling of bank accounts totaling about $3 million tied to alleged fraudulent activities. Nida allegedly has been working these schemes since 2009, soon after he was released from prison for a prior racketeering case. With Nida’s history of running schemes and his past conviction, the fear of possibly serving 20 years in prison must scare the reality tv star. But in order to cop a plea deal, especially with the federal government, you have to rat out a few people who may have a bigger position in the crimes’ operation. So, who hands the “to-do” list to Nida is the mystery question? Whomever it is, if anyone, Nida is going to encounter a lot of backlash from them and their family. In the urban community, there’s a street code. You simply DO NOT SNITCH. WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK? WILL NIDA’S PLEA DEAL BE THE RESULT OF HIM SNITCHING?
