The high-anticipated album features platinum-selling hit “My N***a” featuring Rich Homie Quan and the catchy joint “Who Do Ya Love?” featuring Drake. The documentary, shot by legendary photographer Mike Miller, will release on March 18 exclusively on Complex TV. The visual highlights YG’s connection to Los Angeles gang culture, juxtaposed by a narrative articulating YG’s influence in recreating the LA hip hop scene. He chose to release the album on March 18th, the day before his five year anniversary of being jailed for flocking, to represent his journey and growth as an artist since then. MY KRAZY LIFE is a collaboration between Pu$haz Ink and Jeezy’s Atlanta-based CTE label. The relationship came to fruition after Jeezy came to Los Angeles and witnessed the movement that YG and DJ Mustard had created with their new West Coast rap sound. Since then, Jeezy has taken YG under his wing, establishing a mentorship that played a dynamic role in influencing the direction of the album. As he completed work on MY KRAZY LIFE, YG was not looking back. The now platinum recording artist recounts on his journey thus far, “I’m blessed, shout out to all my fans who copped the record and helped get it to platinum! We got many more to come!”
