Fresh off their own separate tours, “The Mrs. Carter Tour” and “Magna Carta Holy Grail”, celebrity couple Beyonce and Jay Z is hinting at a new tour featuring the two of them. Although a true confirmation has not been given, it is expected that this “couples” tour will begin sometime in June 2014. Jay and Bey will hit 20 stadiums in 20 cities and will end in July. The two performing together has become a ritual, so this news shouldn’t come as a surprise to most. However, with millions who’ve seen them perform, will the two of them together add any additional hype?

 

I, for starters, have never seen Beyonce perform live. I have seen several videos on YouTube and on television. And yes, she is a great performer. Her stage shows are awesome with the light effects, dancers, live band, etc. On the other hand, I’ve seen Jay Z perform. If you remember, I wrote about the experience last December [HERE]. My opinion about Jay’s stage show is that it needed more. I’m a big fan of Jay Z, but wasn’t too amused about his show.

 

One thing is certain, Beyonce will definitely bring the pizzazz that her hubby lacks. Historically speaking, there’s never been a couple that has toured together (not to my knowledge…please correct me if I’m wrong). So, this will be historical for hip hop and the music industry, in general. But what most people are worried about now are the ticket prices. Hopefully, the happily married couple will not hit us all over the head with outlandish ticket costs. If they do, there will be a lot of loyal fans missing from those stadium seats.
