The upcoming movie called Get On Up will go in-depth about one of the greatest entertainers in the world. The star-studded cast will include Chad Boseman (42 – The Jackie Robinson Story) as James Brown, Ralph Tresvant as Sam Cook, Dan Akroyd as Ben Bart, Craig Robinson as Maceo Parker. The film will also feature singer/songwriter/actress Jill Scott. Four-time Academy Award nominated director, Tate Taylor (“The Help”) is the movie’s director. Co-producer credits go to Mick Jagger, Victoria Perman, and Brain Grazer (A Beautiful Mind, 8 Mile). Get On Up will hit theaters on August 1, 2014.
