Carmelo Anthony just announced on Monday that he was starting a venture capital firm called M7 Tech Partners. He joined efforts with Stuart Goldfarb, former CEO of Bertelsmann, the largest direct marketer of music, video, and books. The firm will focus on investing in progressive, tech-savvy ideas and products. Their first equity partnership is with Hullabalu, an interactive children story company. Anthony recently re-signed with the New York Knicks to a five-year, $124 million deal. Although basketball is his love, he says that, “For as long as I remember, I’ve always been interested in technology.” Having a authentic interest in something is always a great start. Salute to Carmelo! Source
