According to the Miami Herald, UM football players JaWand Blue and Alexander Figueroa were charged with sexual battery on Tuesday morning. The two admitted to Coral Gable police that they intoxicated then raped a 17-year old student on campus. The student, who remains anonymous due to her age, reported the crime to campus police. The crime took place in Figueroa’s dorm room in Pearson Hall in the early morning hours on Saturday, July 5. L to R: JaWand Blue & Alexander Figueroa Blue (20) and Figueroa (20) both fessed up to the crime to police and stated that they performed sexual acts on her without her consent. They both were transported to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Facility, but is awaiting bond.
