Gabrielle Union Forces Prenup Due to Dwyane Wade’s Financial Irresponsibilty

Gabrielle’s a smart girl…

As we all know now, Miami Heat player Dwyane Wade and his longtime girlfriend, Gabrielle Union, tied the knot. Over the Labor Day holiday weekend, the happy couple finally said their “I Do’s” in front of family and close friends. Their wedding took place in a sprawling multi-million dollar castle-like mansion and was attended by celebrities such as Carmelo Anthony and his wife Lala, Chris Bosh and his wife, Ludacris and his boo Euxodie, and many more.

Marriage between two celebrities (or wealthy individuals) can be a little testy when it comes to finances. Protection of each other’s own money is about as important as the religious vows  they take. So, of course, Gabrielle and Dwyane took the steps to protect their fortunes. But, what a lot of people don’t know is that Gabrielle was the one to force the prenup.

According to FinancialJuneteenth.com, it was the new Mrs. Wade that wanted to make sure a prenup was in place. In fact, she appeared on Arsenio Hall’s late night show and spoke on the matter. Apparently, Gabrielle has NEVER seen Dwyane balance a check book. OMG!

How can Dwyane be a multi-millionaire and has never balanced a check book??  Our guess is that he’s always had his ex-wife and/or accountants handle his money matters. Well, this was an intelligent move on Gabrielle’s part. There’s no need for both of them to go broke due to a lack of his financial know-how.
