HomeFeatureHot Matchup: Cowboys vs. Seahawks at CenturyLink Field Abner Jackson III Friday, October 10, 2014 Feature, Sports, The Game The Dallas Cowboys (4-1) face the Seattle Seahawks (3-1) this Sunday on the road in a match-up with two of the hottest teams in the league. The Cowboys have surprised a lot of teams this and have won four games in a row. The Cowboys are averaging 160 yards rushing a game ranked 2nd in the league and are ranked fifth with 398.2 yards a game. Cowboys Running Back DeMarco Murray is leading the league in rushing with 670 yards and 5 touchdowns. Murray has had a spectacular year so far this season and is 210 yards ahead of the league second place rusher. The Seahawks are averaging a league best 167.2 yards rushing a game and 27.5 points game fifth best in the league. The Seahawks are undefeated at home this season and CenturyLink Field is probably the hardest place for any team to win in the NFL. Seahawks Quarterback Russell Wilson has put up stellar numbers with 852 passing yards, 8 touchdowns and 1 interception. Wilson has rushed for 209 yards with an impressive 7.2 rushing average and 1 rushing touchdown. The Seahawks defense is only allowing 62.2 yards a game which ranks first in the league and their defense ranks fifth for total yards allowed. Murray will face his toughest challenge of the year this season and his offensive line will have to make wholes for him if the Cowboys wish to move the ball down the field rushing. The Cowboys have one of the top Wide Receivers in the league with Dez Bryant. If Seahawks Cornerback Richard Sherman is covering Bryant, Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo will need his other Wide Receiver’s to step up against Seattle’s good secondary. This should be a great game this weekend and Seattle’s defense should be able to contain Dallas rushing game and probably force Romo to make some mistakes which should help Seattle win.
